On Thursday, 7th May at 7:00pm, the Chamber Choir will be performing the Monteverdi Vespers with the Monteverdi String Band, English Cornett and Sackbut Ensemble, and pupils from Wells Cathedral School.
Soloists are Maddie Perring, Beth Yates, Kieran White, Richard Rowntree, and Will Drakett.
Performers include many Old Wellensians, for example the leader of the Monteverdi String Band, Oliver Webber, and Maddie and Kieran among our vocal soloists, as well as current teachers at Wells Cathedral School who just so happen to perform with these top period ensembles.
It’s going to be a fabulous evening and a wonderful celebration of music in Wells.
The proceeds for the concert are going to the Grand Organ Appeal. With that in mind, please do come if you can and please do invite folks along!
